My Freelancing Story

Around 9 years ago, I was working as an AutoCad Operator for an American engineering equipment selling and leasing company that has an office in Alabang. We had access to the internet and like any other employees there, I would constantly browse through different websites during lunch break and sometimes during working hours.

Then I came my Mylot.com. It’s a profit-sharing forum website where members across the globe can gather and talk about practically anything. I joined basically to keep myself entertained during lunch breaks and to have a place to share my thoughts with unbiased reactions from people I do not practically see but felt that I had connections with.

To my surprise, after a few months, I have earned my first 10$ online. Since then, I have busied myself interacting with fellow members on the site every lunch time. I have also scoured the internet for possible websites to join with money making potentials. I have found a few pay-per-click sites, writing websites and websites similar with Mylot. My fascination for making money online started almost a decade ago, and here I am still doing what I love to do and hoping to finally get it right in making money online through blogging.

Since then I have dreamed of being able to stay-at-home, sit in front of my own computer and write, do something that I love while making money from it. Being a stay-at-home freelancer became my long-term goal since then. I equipped myself with the knowledge. Asked around and tried to learn every new information I got from friends and colleagues about the possibilities of making money online and how to actually be able to do it.

Now a decade after, I am currently working freelance for two years, right at the comfort of my home, with my two kids at tow. I have a Google Adsense account that I am continuously grasping and an online job that gives me a regular income monthly.

It is possible to make money online, but the road is not easy. Yet, the journey is as sweet as the success that I am currently enjoying right now and I am definitely sharing that success to you guys as well.

About Me

My photo

A graduate of Civil Engineering but a writer by heart was the main reason why I figured out that the corporate life was not for me. I enjoyed being at home, far from the competitive atmosphere of a typical 8-hour job. I hated the idea of extending work hours at the office or bringing work at home. I cringe about the idea of having to prioritize work over my family and living. Luckily, i managed to break free from the corporate world after seven grueling years. Although I must say that I have learned a lot both personally and professionally from my office job, I would never see myself turning back after being able to achieve my dream of being at home and working online. As I try to reach my first million while working online I also plan on entering a home-based business in between blogging and taking care of my kids.
